Among the key activities to achieve the goals of the project is to implement tools that promote modern techniques used by all EU Member States, such as inclusiveness and participation of all citizens in the regions. In this direction, within the framework of the project, the grant scheme for investment projects was implemented for which only the Centers for development of the planning regions could apply.

According to the grant scheme, the areas of intervention in this program were environment, social inclusion, business infrastructure and tourism. The projects in all 8 regions were selected through the organization of regional forums attended by representatives from the civic, non-governmental, educational and business sectors, as well as from the citizens themselves.

In each planning region, the realization of one project was financially supported by the citizens that were selected in the process of consultation, for which a total of 850.000 CHF were provided. The priority project in the most developed Skopje planning region receives funds in the amount of 60.000 CHF, and in the least developed region, in the Northeast planning region, 145.000 CHF.
